This is what I get paid to not get caught doing...

Weekly Concept #2 Grimm's Classic Fairy Tales

Alright guys and gals, second week! Week 1 had some solid entries and I would love to see us keep up that momentum! We botched the first week in a few little ways though, this week let's try to get into a smoother rythem, let's try to have all of our pieces submitted by midnight on Thursday so that we can have Friday be fresh for the new topic.
An idea for a series of designs I've been wanting to play around with is Grimm's Classic Fairy Tales, we all know them, we all love them, probably, and I think we should all do our own pieces based on them, or othe childrens fables, nursery rhymes, etc.
Little Red eating a banquet of stuffed Wolf? Court necromancer turn out to be the only one to "put" Humpty Dumpty "back together"? Hansel ünd Gretel as angelic choir childer singing at the feet of the lord? However you want to interperate it. DO IT!

Week 1 - wind god

I know this is a little last minute but here it is. Wind god. Started as earth in my head but ended up being wind to round out the picture set.

Week 1: Water Spirit

Poor quality Pic of a water elemental or spirit, first time using a new pen that I wasn't really happy with which actually ended up bleeding through ): onto another picture of mine D: so we'll go ahead and throw that pen in the useless box and come back to it some other day. Man, I really need to get a photoshop to get some color into my pieces; some great submissions up so far. Keep it up guys.

Week 1: Element God

Quick sketch up for a fire god. The initial sketch took about 10-15 min and the Photoshop coloring took about 30-45. I was hoping to get a lot more into the piece but my week turned out to be more busy than I had expected. Good luck to all!

Weekly #1 Element god

So this piece turned out alot better than i was expecting, I chose the earth element and this is the resulting god i came up with . all in all about 6 hours of work in photoshop and an hour of sketching in my sketchbook for the initial drawing. I used alot of shadow of colossus for reference, also looked at a few shots of shale from dragon age to get the design for the crystals.

Aural Inspiration

What Kind of music do you guys and gals like to listen to while you're working on your art or being creative? What do you find is the best kind of music to create to? Do you listen to specific music? Or just the same music you like to listen to most of the time? Or do you not like to listen to music at all? What do you find helps you stay in the artistic mindset?
